Betty L. Evans

Betty Lou Walton Evans, age 84 went to be with the Lord on Feb. 25, 2016 in Coal Valley, Ill. She was born on Nov. 3, 1931 in Little Rock, Ark., to the late, Wesley W. Walton and Nettie J. Walton. An avid collector of teapots, Betty worked for North Little Rock Schools for more than 20 years and 10 at Camp Robinson from which she retired in 1996. She is preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Stanley Eugene Evans Sr.; and her parents, Wesley and Nettie Walton. Betty is survived by her daughter Lori Evans of Coal Valley, Ill., her sons, Gene and wife Debbie Evans of Broken Arrow, Okla. and Wesley and wife Melladeane Evans of Mascoutah, Ill.; her sister, Sue Walton Rowe and husband Bob; grandchildren, Jennifer Nicole Tracy, Rachael Elizabeth Evans, Stephen Edward Evans and wife Adrienne, and Amy May Connor and husband Travis; four great-grandchildren and numerous additional family and friends across Arkansas and Illinois. Funeral services for Betty will be on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at 10 a.m., at Roller-Owens Funeral Home, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd., North Little Rock, Ark., 72116. With the interment to follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park in North Little Rock, Ark.
