Mary "Lynn" Thompson

Mary "Lynn" Thompson, age 81, of Pine Bluff, died Monday, January 4, 2016, at her home. Mrs. Thompson was born May 26, 1934, in Shreveport, Louisiana, a daughter of the late Edward Lee Grizzle and Pearl Rose. Mrs. Thompson was reared and received her education in Pine Bluff, moving here as a young child. She was a 1952, graduate of Pine Bluff High School. She was a member of Watson Chapel Baptist Church and a longtime member of the Immanuel Baptist Strumming Seniors, the Red Hats Club, Simmons Classic Club and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary and had worked at the Cotton Belt Railroad for thirty years as an office clerk. Mrs. Thompson was preceded in death by a brother, Johnny Grizzle. Survivors include her husband, Carlton Thompson, whom she married September 18, 1976, in Pleasant Hill, California; daughter, Sharon Clark of Vilonia, Arkansas; sons, Wayne Clark of McCaskill, Arkansas and Rickey Clark of Ward, Arkansas; grandsons, Zachary and Brody Clark of Springhill, Arkansas. Funeral services will be Friday, January 8, 2016, at 1:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors with Reverend Todd Howard officiating.
