Gerald Spielman, 79, of Yellville, passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2015 in Mountain Home. He was born December 22, 1936 in Evanston, Illinois to Kenneth Karl and Lola Ruth (Kitterman) Spielman. He was a decorated Vietnam Navy Veteran having served his country from 1954 until his retirement in 1975. He had several jobs including raising turkeys and construction. The things he loved most were his wife, his family, his country and the Razorbacks. He is survived by one daughter, Mary Sutterfield (Billy) of Yellville; one son Henry Johnson (Jan) of Forest Ranch, California; two "special" daughters, Sabra Bagwell of Cushing, Oklahoman and Joyce McCalla (Danny) of Yellville; six grandchildren, Krista McCalla (Michael), Zach Sutterfield (Alyssa), Judy Tatom (Troy), Eric Gaylor (Pam), Arron Gaylor (Liz) and Courtney Bagwell; three brothers, Tom (his twin), Karl and Rodger Spielman; several great-grandchildren including Bradon, Ethan, Lainey and Shaylee McCalla and Kylek and Zaylie Sutterfield and two close friends, Roy Haake and John Longdon. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Pauline Spielman and one great-grandson, Waylen Sutterfield. A memorial service will take place on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Church on the Rock, 102 North Mill Street, Yellville, Arkansas 72687.
