Chuck Germer

CHUCK GERMER, age 87 of Little Rock, Ark. passed away on Jan. 2, 2016. He was born on June 9, 1928 in Little Rock, Ark., to Charles Bargar Germer and Alice Elizabeth Jones. Chuck attended the University of Arkansas until 1947. Chuck entered the U.S. Air Force Aviation Cadets program to become a pilot, but was medically disqualified during training. He served in the Air Force until 1952. After his Air Force service, he attended the University of Missouri School of Mines (MSM) in Rolla, Mo., graduating in 1955 with a degree in Civil Engineering. Chuck was an active member of the First Methodist Church in Little Rock. He is survived by his Sons, William L. Germer and his Wife Sue H. Germer of Schertz, Texas and Keith L. Germer of Little Rock, Ark.; grandchildren, Christopher Charles Germer of Cabot, Ark. and Laura Frances (Germer) Woods of Rogers, Ark.; and his Sister, Dora (Sue) Estelle (Germer) Bowden of Lincoln, Neb. He was preceded in death by his Father and Mother, his wives, his Sister Alyce Vere (Germer) Guth of Lake Charles, La.; and his best Friend, Walter Breckenridge of St. Louis, Mo. A visitation will be held Jan. 12, 2016 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Ruebel Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2016 at the First United Methodist Church in Little Rock with burial following at Roselawn Memorial Park. www.ruebelfuneralhome.com.
