Lucille Ardell Morgan

Lucille Ardell Morgan, 97, of Dermott, Ark., passed away Saturday, Jan. 9, 2016 in Lake Village, Ark. She was born in Crossett, Ark. on Sept. 5, 1918 to the late Ezekiel and Zella Sellars Clanton. Lucille was a homemaker for many years before becoming a sales clerk for Abrams Department Store in Dermott, Ark., where she worked for several years. She loved to sew and she was a longtime member of Bellaire Baptist Church, where she enjoyed helping with Vacation Bible School. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter "Shorty" Morgan; daughter, Charlotte Anne Morgan; son, Walter Jeffery Morgan; grandson, Robert Toon. Survivors include her daughter, Sheila Morgan Dixon and her husband, David of Germantown, Tenn.; grandchildren, Brittnee MacIntyre and Bryan Morgan; great-grandchildren: Michael Mayeux, Jackson Toon, Averi Toon, Lily Toon, Colin MacIntyre, Griffin MacIntyre. Visitation will be held at 1-2 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2016 at Bellaire Baptist Church in Bellaire, Ark. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2016 at Bellaire Baptist Church in Bellaire, Ark. with Rev. Kenny Culpepper officiating.
