Ila Mae Whitfield Armstrong Stanley

Ila Mae Whitfield Armstrong Stanley, 101, of Vilonia went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 10, 2016. She was born January 27, 1914 in Adona, Ark. to the late Harvey Whitfield and Fanny Norman Whitfield. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Stanley; brother, Clarence Whitfield; and two sisters, Naomi Maher and Ruth Witkowski. Ila worked for many years farming and then was co-owner of Stanley Hardware Store. She was a great woman who accomplished many things in her life. She loved her flowers and loved to go fishing. When she was younger she enjoyed horseback riding. She was survived by three sons, Clyde Armstrong (Annette), Jim Stanley (Crystal), and Richard Stanley; one daughter, Mildred Ballard; 16 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 13, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway. Funeral service is 1 p.m. Thursday, January 14, 2015 at the funeral home.
