Margarette Frances Puddephatt

Margarette Frances Margarette Frances Puddephatt, 80, of Jonesboro passed away peacefully Sunday, January 10, 2016 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. She was born February 22, 1935 to the late Jerome and Frances Enderby in Pine Bluff. Margarette grew up in Pine Bluff and moved to Jonesboro in 1980. She was dedicated to her daughters, participating in all of their activities at school (PTA), scouts (Brownie and Girl Scout Troop Leader) and even earned the American Camper Association Certificate allowing her to take scout troops on overnight camping trips. When the girls were in high school, Margarette began working in the field of medical records. Upon moving to Jonesboro, she continued her work in medical records at George Jackson Health Center. Margarette loved to read and travel. She touched many lives with her kindness, compassion and generosity. In addition to her parents, Margarette is preceded in death by her daughter Gloria Jean Puddephatt and her Father and Mother in law: Harry and LaVerne Puddephatt. Margarette is survived by her husband: Harry B. Puddephatt of the home; one daughter, Alicia Puddephatt Zimmerman and her husband Patrick, of Fayetteville; one sister: Nelda Gunter of Jonesboro; and one Brother: Ed Enderby of Austin, Texas. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at First United Methodist Church. The family will be receiving friends from 10-11 a.m. in the atrium with a memorial service following at 11 a.m. in the chapel.
