Sylvia Jean Henthorn

Sylvia Jean Henthorn, 75, of Bella Vista, Arkansas died Monday, January 11, 2016 at Circle of Life, Bentonville. She was born on June 22, 1940 in Fulton, Kentucky to Ernest Clifton and Dorothy Marie (Hendershot) Sosebee. Sylvia moved to Bella Vista in 1994 from St. Louis, Missouri. She was an active member of the Village Bible Church, a master gardener, avid baker, private school administrator and a Cub Scout den-mother (Den 4, Troop 796). She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, John Emerson Henthorn. She is survived by two sons, David Henthorn of Bella Vista, Ark. and Joe (Molly) Henthorn of St. Paul, Mo.; three grandchildren, Joey, Michael and Jimmy; two sisters, Becky Zahavi (Nissan) and Dora Knight; one brother, Ernie Sosebee; one brother-in-law, Tom (Jackie) Henthorn; one sister-in-law Bonnie Robinson (late Herschel Robinson); dear friends Lisa Kelley, Trudy Pickett and many other relatives and friends. A Memorial Service will be held at Village Bible Church, 1591 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, Arkansas 72715 on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at 4 p.m. Pastor Mark Voll will officiate. Internment will take place at a later date in St. Louis, Mo. Memorials may be made to the Village Bible Church. Arrangements are by the Bella Vista Funeral Home & Crematory.
