Catherine (Kay) Elizabeth Kimball

Catherine (Kay) Elizabeth Kimball, April 18, 1930 – January 8, 2016. Kay Kimball, 85, died on January 8, 2016 at the Bentonville Health and Rehab (Previously the Bentonville Manor) in Bentonville, AR where she had lived for almost a year due to issues that arose with her Alzheimer's disease. She was born in Manchester, N.H. and lived there during the school year and spent summers in Ocean Park, Maine. Her father was a school teacher who built cottages in this Baptist community, during the summer, where their family had a cottage. Her mother was a cook in the schools and volunteered at their church. Kay attended college at the University of New Hampshire, where she met and fell in love with her husband, Harry. Together they traveled the world as Harry served in the United Stated Air Force and she took care of him, her two daughters and their home. She was adamant about the family staying together and except for his war service, she was always by his side. She was a member of the Officer's Wives Club and also Family Services who provided for the needs of military families. She actively volunteered in the communities she lived in and taught her daughters how to be compassionate and caring for other people. Kay was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Kimball and her daughter, Cindy Henryson. Survived by her son-in-law, Michael Henryson and their son, Alex Henryson who are residents of Bella Vista, Arkansas; daughter, Bonnie (Johnny) Sisemore of Bella Vista, Arkansas. Bonnie's sons, Erik and Scott (Courtney) Bayerl of Bentonville, Arkansas. Memorial Service will be held at the Bella Vista Community Church, 75 E Lancaster Boulevard, Bella Vista, Arkansas, January 18, 2016 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel with Rev. Dr. Anna Teel officiating. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, NWA Regional Chapter, 210 N Walton Blvd., Suite 25, Bentonville, Ark. 72712. Thanks are given to Plaza Suites residents and staff who were such good friends and support to Kay and Harry Kimball. Also the nurses and caregivers at the Bentonville Health and Rehab and Hospice for the care and compassion in their care of her. Her church family at the Bella Vista Community Church has been by her side with prayers and visits. Arrangements are by the Bella Vista Funeral Home & Crematory.
