Ruth Marie Shackelford

Ruth Marie Shackelford, 91 of Fayetteville passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at North Hills Nursing Home. She was born May 2, 1924 in Rudy, Arkansas the daughter of Henry and Bertha Brammer Osburn. She was a member of the Unity Baptist Church in West Fort. And, was retired from Mexican Original. She enjoyed many vacations, traveling with her sisters and brothe-in-law, Larry Jenkins. She was preceded in death by her husband's, John Shackelford and Waymon Baker, her parents, one brother and four sisters. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Jerry Don and Darla Shackelford of Springdale; two grandsons, Jason and John Shackelford and three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Gene Osburn and wife, Christine of Fayetteville, Earl Osburn and wife, Virginia of Farmington, two sisters, Maxine Jenkins and husband, Larry of Bernice, OK and Wanda Nickell and husband Lonnie of Fayetteville. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday at Nelson Berna Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 1 p.m., Monday, January 18, 2016 at the Chapel of Nelson Berna Funeral home with Reverend Brian Bowerman officiating. Burial will follow in Baptist Ford Cemetery.
