Dr. Jon Farinholt

Dr. Jon W. Farinholt, 79, passed away on Jan. 15, 2016 in Rogers, Ark. Jon and his twin sister, Ann Stein, were born on July 27, 1936 in Montreal to the late L.W. “Whitey” and Osra A. (Gault) Farinholt. He was the husband of Janet A. (Carter) Farinholt for 55 years. He attended Princeton for his undergraduate degree. Dr. Farinholt continued his education at the University of Maryland Medical School where he received his MD in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He served in the US Army in Germany for three years and then joined Kaiser Permanente in Colorado in 1970. Dr. Farinholt opened and ran a private practice in Denver for 30 years before retiring. Jon built the mountain cabin where the family gathered for weekend getaways. He enjoyed gardening, cross country skiing, woodworking, and fishing on the Blue River. Dr. Farinholt is survived by his wife, Janet; sons, Jon C. Farinholt and wife, Debbie and Robert W. Farinholt and wife, Stefanie; granddaughters, Simone and Emmi Farinholt; and twin sister, Ann Stein. A memorial service will be held in Arkansas for the family.
