Walter Wayne Wishon

Walter "Wayne" Wishon, 86 year old resident of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, died January 17, 2016 at Circle of Life Hospice, Springdale, Arkansas. Born December 9, 1929 in Glade, Arkansas he was the son of Milas Wishon and Mary (Bishop) Wishon. Wayne married Helen "Louise" Riley on May 22, 1953. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. Wayne was a lifetime resident of Northwest Arkansas and worked as a farmer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Milas and Mary Wishon. He is survived by his wife, Louise of the home; one son, Thomas Steward and wife Becky of Siloam Springs; four daughters, Margaret Humprhies and husband Bob of Leach, Oklahoma, Deneice Engel and husband Allen of Colcord, Oklahoma, Diane Roe and husband Thomas of Siloam Springs, and Dewana Smith and husband Bill of Siloam Springs; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Thursday, January 21, 2016 at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, with Mr. Tom Roe officiating. Burial will follow at Highfill Cemetery, Highfill, Arkansas.
