James Marvin "Booty" Lasiter

James Marvin "Booty" Lasiter, age 86, of Warren, Ark., died Monday, January 18, at Bradley County Medical Center. Born March 30, 1929 in Warren, Ark., a son of the late Marion Lee Lasiter and Bessie Reep Lasiter he was the former owner/operator of Lasiter's Garage and Warren Motor Supply. "Booty" was a Christian, U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, an avid Crappie fisherman and loved to water ski. Also preceding him in death was a sister, Lois Benson; a brother Travis Lasiter; brother-in-law, Thomas Ashcraft, Ross Benson; and a sister-in-law, Carolyn Lasiter. Survivors are his wife Mayme Ruth Sanders Lasiter whom he married December 29, 1948. One son, Jim Lasiter and spouse Emily, Warren, Ark. Three daughters, Debbi Hargrave and spouse Bobby, Terri Slaughter and spouse Bill, Denecia Sellers and spouse John all of Warren, Ark. Two sisters, Virginia Ashcraft, Warren, Ark., Shirley Lowry, Crossett, Ark. Seven grandchildren, Brad Hargrave and spouse Devin, Ryan Slaughter and spouse Stephanie, Jarrod Hargrave and spouse Staci, Matt Sellers and spouse Courtney, Mary Jo Lasiter all of Warren, Ark., Jeff Slaughter and spouse Kelli, Maumelle, Ark., Bobby Hubbard of Kansas. Nine great-grand-children, Westin Hargrave, Natalie Hargrave, Miles Hargrave, Emmitt Hargrave, Carson Slaughter, Eva Slaughter all of Warren, Ark., Logan Hubbard, Lawson Hubbard both of Kansas, Paisley Slaughter, Maumelle, Ark. Funeral service 1:30 p.m. Thursday, January 21, at Frazer's Chapel. Burial Oakland Cemetery by Frazer's Funeral Home. Visitation 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, January 20, at Frazer's.
