Grace Aileen Fordice Holt

Grace Aileen Fordice Holt died on January 24, 2016 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She was born July 20, 1932 in Memphis, Tennessee to the late Daniel Kirkwood Fordice and Clara Aileen Augustine Fordice. Grace graduated from Central High School in Memphis, TN and then attended Mississippi State College for Women, now MUW, in Columbus, Mississippi. She lived most of her adult life in Arkansas with her beloved husband of 63 years, the late William Millard Holt. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Governor Kirk Fordice; her husband, William Holt; and by a beloved child, Lucinda Ann Holt Harris (Cindy) and her husband John Chester Harris. Survivors include a daughter, Susan Tucker Holt McClendon of Fayetteville, Arkansas (formerly Monticello, Arkansas) a son, William Millard Holt Jr. (Cyndi) of Collierville, Tennessee, grandchildren, Christy Annette Frames Cushman (John), Lauren Aileen Harris Ross (Josh), Patrick Jay Harris (Margot), Lacey Ann Harris Durmon (John William), Haley Austin Holt, Olivia Grace Holt, and William Millard Holt, III (Wilkes). He also leaves behind 11 great-grandchildren. Her family will gather at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, Tenn. from 1:30 p.m. until graveside services begin at 2 p.m. inside Memorial Park Cemetery all on Thursday, January 28, 2016. Memorial donations in memory of Grace can be made to The Susan G. Komen Foundation.
