GARY HALSEY, 61, of North Little Rock, Ark., passed away on Jan. 28, 2016. He was born on Jan. 28, 1955 in North Little Rock, to Winfred and Nora Halsey. Gary was a graduate of Oak Grove High School and a retired employee of the Union Pacific Railroad. Gary was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hear his beagles run. He never met a stranger. Gary would remind everyone "Life is a picture, paint it well". Gary was preceded in death by his parents. Gary is survived by his wife of 37 years, Myrlene Halsey and one daughter, Katie Halsey both of North Little Rock. He is also survived by two brothers, Jackie (Tonia) Halsey, of North Little Rock and Jerry (Merlene) Halsey, of Mayflower; one sister, Linda (Donnie) Walters, of Gravel Ridge; and numerous nephews, nieces, and other family members. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2016 in the chapel of Roller-Owens Funeral Home, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd, North Little Rock (501-791-7400), with burial to follow at Edgewood Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Monday, Feb. 1, 2016 from 6–8 p.m., at the funeral home. The Halsey family would like to extend their gratitude to the Office of Emergency Management, Quail Creek Fire Dept., McAlmont Fire Dept., Arch Street Fire Dept., Hensley Fire Dept., Grant County Sheriff's Office, Jefferson County Sherriff's Office, Pulaski County Sherriff's Office, the Arkansas State Police, and all the other volunteers who were involved with the search for Gary.
