Larry Dean Wolf, 78, of Springdale, passed from this life Jan. 28, 2016. He was born Aug. 2, 1937 in Dallas, S.D. to John and Nellie (Soper) Wolf. Larry loved his sons, grandchildren, family, and sports. But most of all his loved his wife of 56 years, Carol "Midge" Wolf. He accomplished a lot in his lifetime. He is a retired Sargent First Class for the U.S. Army and the National Guard. He was a member of American Legion for 18 years and served as an adjutant and vice commander. Earlier in his lifetime he was a school teacher of nearly 20 years, and he won a girls basketball state championship in Everly IA in 1966. In 1975, he moved his family to Springdale, Ark. to operate a motel. Larry's last job was working at the Springdale Youth Center. He loved going to the Naturals baseball games and watching his children and grandchildren play sports. If there was one thing he obsessed over it was John Wayne--he was an avid fan. He loved traveling with his wife and managed to travel to 50 states in his lifetime. Larry, who also liked to be called "Harley Worthit", brought so much humor to everyone's life. He was so loved and will be missed by so many. Larry's family wants to thank all friends and family who reached out to them during this difficult time. Larry is preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Neoma Strobel; and a brother, Donn Wolf.
