MARGARET LOUISE OLLIE, age 86, of North Little Rock, went to rest peacefully on Jan. 29, 2016. Margaret was the oldest of five children of David Edward Christian and Edna Mae Arnson. She attended Alpina High School and Sparks Nursing School in Fort Smith. Later she earned her APN from one of the first nurse practitioner programs in the state. Margaret worked at almost every hospital in the Little Rock and North Little Rock area. She was a nursing home administrator, practiced home health care, and continued nursing into her later years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Triune Sunday School Class, The Shogrens and Arthritis Support Group and The Diner's club. Margaret married Thomas W. Ollie in 1951. Tom and Margaret were very active in many civic organizations and were married for 61 years until Tom's passing in 2013. She loved meeting people and learning about them. She loved the Razorbacks, the Cardinals, books, cookbooks, poetry, music, animals and mostly spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Margaret is survived by two sisters, Gertrude Andrews and Fostina Ainsworth; two sons, Tom Ollie Jr. and Tim Ollie, Sr.; two daughters, Tammy Pianalto and Terri Anderson; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Monday, Feb. 2, 2016 at Smith-North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main Street. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
