Donald Ray Johnson Sr.

Donald Ray Johnson Sr., 63, of Benton passed away Friday July 1, 2016. He was born May 24, 1953 in Mark Tree, Ark. Donald was of the Pentecostal faith. He was an avid hunter and loved running dogs. He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Johnson; sister, Brenda Johnson Blackburn and two nephews, Robbie Blackburn and Matthew Johnson. Survivors: Mother, Francies Joann Johnson; daughter, Tonya Kay Johnson (Billy); Son, Donnie Ray Johnson Jr. (Kristy); sister, Barbara Hill; brother, Jerry Lynn Johnson (Audena); nephews, Steven Hill, Kevin Hill, Bradley Blackburn; Nieces, Deana Johnson, Megan Davis (Josh); five great-nephews and nieces. Special thanks to the Second floor nurses at Saline Memorial Hospital and the Hospice House for all their love and care. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Ashby's. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Ashby Funeral Home Chapel, with burial at Smith Rosemont Cemetery. Ministers will be Jason Keisler and Hank Smith.
