Marian Leslie (Ward) Lewis left this world and went to be her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 15, 2016. She was born Aug. 26, 1953 in Kansas City, Mo. and was a lifelong resident of Clarksville, Ark. Marian was a devout Christian, faithful wife, and a devoted mother and grandmother. She had an affinity for children's books which later came in handy as a grandmother known as "Coco." She was a 1974 graduate of The University of Arkansas in Fayetteville with a bachelors degree in Libary Science and a minor in foreign language. In the mid 70's she was employed by the Arkansas River Valley Regional Library as Children's Service's Librarian. She led children's "story hour" at numerous County Libraries throughout the River Valley being affectionately known as "Miss Marian." She enjoyed reading and studying the Bible and taught children's Sunday School for many years at the First United Methodist Church in Clarksville where she was an active member. She was a member of PEO, Chapter Q in Clarksville and also enjoyed giving her time to various local ministries throughout the community. She is survived by her Mother, Josephine Ward of Springdale; her husband of nearly 43 years, R. Keith Lewis of Clarksville; three sons: Aaron (Michelle) Lewis and grandchildren, Colter, Caden, Catherine, and Colin of Fayetteville; Andrew (Dinah) Lewis and grandchildren, Emerson and Lawson of Knoxville; and Alex Lewis of Fayetteville. She was preceded in death by her Father, Lyle Ward of Clarksville. A Memorial and Celebration of Life service will be held at 2 p.m. on July 8, 2016 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Fayetteville, Ark. with Reverend Lowell Grisham presiding. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on July 9, 2016 at Oakland Cemetery in Clarksville, Ark. with Reverend David Hanshaw presiding. Arrangements are under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home in Clarksville, Ark.
