Grace Marie Booth Bauer, 85, of Little Rock passed away on Tuesday, July 5th. Born December 19, 1930 in Little Rock, she was the daughter of Ben and Anna Booth. Grace graduated from Mount Saint Mary Academy in Little Rock. She met her husband Rudolph "Rudy" Bauer in Little Rock in 1952. They celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary in June of this year. Grace was a lifelong Catholic and a charter member of Christ the King Catholic Church where she volunteered for numerous projects and also served as Christ the King Church secretary for several years. Grace served on the board of the Roland Volunteer Fire Department and was instrumental in upgrading the department's fire engines and equipment. Grace was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Pat Booth. Survivors include husband, Rudy; sons, Bruce Bauer and his wife, Denise Bauer and Mark Bauer and his wife, Beth Milligan Bauer of Little Rock. The light of her life were her grandchildren, Matthew Bauer and his wife, Casey, of Alexandria, Va., and Jordan Bauer of Little Rock. She was delighted to meet her first great-grandson, Perrin Bauer, born in January 2016. She is also survived by her brother Leon Booth and two sisters Helen and Mildred. Grace had a special place in her heart for her family's farm, watching over, improving and caring for the land, wildlife and much loved family pets. She was an intelligent, soft spoken and patient person who had a great respect for nature. Devoted to her family and friends, Grace was a wonderful role model. When challenges came, her strength was derived from her solid faith in God. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday July 8th at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth at 5800 12th Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday July 9th at 10 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church with Father Richard Davis, Celebrant. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
