Gary Ernest Carter

Gary Ernest Carter, 76, of Lowell, died Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale. He was born July 22, 1939 in Sergeant Bluff, Iowa to Ernest and Georgia Miller Carter. Gary and his wife Nancy moved to northwest Arkansas in June of 1989 to begin a new adventure. He was a real estate appraiser, avid scuba diver, and enjoyed traveling and fishing. He was an active member of Alcoholics Anonymous. Survivors include his wife, Nancy, of the home; three children, Scott Carter (Vickie) of Sergeant Bluff, Belinda Pollock (Brian) of Overland Park, Kansas, Matt Carter (Chris) of Sioux City, Iowa; three grandchildren, Shelby, Kailey and Tristin, and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Rick and Donnie Carter, and a grandson, Zach Carter. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 8, at Heritage Funeral Home, 1591 S 48th Street in Springdale. A memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, at Heritage Funeral Home.
