Mary L. Berry Hicks

Mary L. Berry Hicks, 92, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, July 6, 2016. Her beloved husband, Lossie M. Hicks, was there to welcome her home. She was preceded by her parents Albert F and Minnie Lenderman Berry, her brothers Joseph, Thomas and Raymond Berry, grandson Steven Hicks and great grandson Cameron Benford. She is survived by her children Mack (Jan) Hicks, Mary Martha (Charles) Crego, Dora (Gene) Parmenter, and Dorothy Waddell, grandchildren Shelly Ramey, Mandy Walker, Robert Hicks, Charles Crego, Angie Quattlebaum, Amy Smith and Marianne Ryan, 16 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren. Mary was a hard working dairy farmer's wife. When that phase of her life ended, she continued to work other jobs into her 80's; but her greatest legacy was her love of Jesus, her church and her family. She was a member of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church for 76 years. She is greatly missed but she went to a better place. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. The funeral will take place at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 9, 2016, with burial at the Oak Grove cemetery.
