Vivian Neal Patchell

Vivian Neal Patchell, the daughter of Gussie Mahon Snell and Allen Neal was born Oct. 18, 1927, in Heber Springs, Ark., and passed away on July 7, 2016 at the age of 88 years. She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Heber Springs where she served as chairman of the Faith Circle for many years and was awarded the WMW pin for outstanding service two times. She later joined the First Baptist Church of Heber Springs to worship alongside her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Jerry Neal and her dearest friend, Kathryn Engler. Survivors include her husband of nearly 68 years, Troy E. Patchell of Heber Springs; son, Doug Patchell and wife, Allison; granddaughter, Cara Tharp and husband, Chance and great-granddaughter, Marlowe Vivian Tharp, all of Little Rock. She is also survived by uncle Billy Wayne Neal, whom she considered a brother and wife, Helen of Aromas, Calif. Visitation will be Sunday, July 10, 2016 from 5-7 p.m. at Family Funeral Service of Heber Springs. A graveside funeral service is scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday, July 11, 2016 at Cleburne County Memorial Gardens pavilion with the Rev. Stuart Cranford officiating.
