Peggy Joyce O'Brien Hammett

Peggy Joyce O'Brien Hammett, age 83, of Morrilton, passed away Sunday, July 10, 2016. She was born July 7, 1933 in Springfield, a daughter of the late L.L. "Buddy" O'Brien and Esther Huett O'Brien. She was the Deputy Tax Collector for Conway County for 28 years and a member of Downtown Church of Christ. Survivors include two sons, Wes (Deb) Hammett and Hal (Carol) Hammett; four grandchildren: Collin (Ashley) Hammett, Deidre (Dillon) Huey, Phillip (Summer) Hammett, and Tausha (Chris) Dyer; and 10 great-grandchildren: Brylee, Daxton, Jude, and Preslee Hammett, Rhett Huey, Lane and Jared Deneen, Austin and Gwenna Dyer, and Lennon Young. She was preceded in death by her husband, Reed Junior Hammett and her brother, Benny Lane O'Brien. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at Harris Chapel.
