Dorothy M. Gooding

Dorothy M. Gooding, age 91, of Springdale, Arkansas passed away Wednesday July 6, 2016. She was born June 28, 1925 in Winslow, Arkansas to Floyd and Ava Coward Southern. Dorothy is of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband Sid Gooding; son, Jerry Gooding; daughter, Paulita "Weeda" Gooding; two brothers, Maurice and Edward Southern. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Simpson and husband Doug of Springdale; two sisters, Pauline Estes and Joann Southern both of Fayetteville; daughter-in-law, Sharon Gooding of Prairie Grove; five grandchildren, Cheryl Sanders, Tracy Gooding, Heather Robertson, Brian Simpson and Amanda Luna, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Visitation will be 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. Thursday July 14, 2016 at Moore's Chapel. Burial of ashes will take place at a later time in Farmington Cemetery.
