James L Franklin Jr

James L. Franklin Jr,. 88, of Little Rock passed away July 12, 2016 with his family by his side. He was born on April 5, 1928 to the late, James and Gladys Franklin in Cale, Arkansas. James enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, working crossword puzzles and enjoying time with his family. He retired in 1990 from the Arkansas Forestry Commission. James is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Louise Franklin; grandson, Christopher Shaw and two sons-in-law. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Martha Franklin; three daughters, Rhima Cotton (James), Nancy Potts and Lisa Jay Loe (Randy); son, Yancy Franklin (Angelica); twelve grandchildren, Shawn, Trey, Mark, Lyndsey, Angie, Salena, Misty, Mitchel, Caleb, Amanda, Martha and Shelby; twelve great grandchildren; sister, Virginia Wilson; several adoptive children that he loved as his own and a host of family and friends who all loved him and will miss him dearly. Memorial service will be held on Friday, July 15, 2016 at Mabelvale Church of Church at 11 a.m. with visitation one hour prior. There will also be a memorial service held on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at Bluff City Church of Christ at 3 p.m. in Bluff City with visitation one hour prior.
