Jeanne Marie Ruffin

Jeanne Marie Ruffin, 84, of Sherwood, went to be with the Lord on July 11, 2016. She was a nurse for 23 years at Baptist Memorial and served as a nurse in the Army during the Korean War and was discharged as a First Lieutenant. She is preceded in death by her mother, Jeannette Jones and her daughter, Kathleen Szafranski. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Robert Ruffin. Other survivors include brothers, Harry Jones and George Jones; sons, Dan (Kay) Ruffin and Steven (Brooke) Ruffin; daughter, Lea Cook; grandchildren, Kaitlin, Susan, Christopher, Joshua, Nora and Carter. Visitation is at 10 a.m. Friday, July 15 with the funeral service to follow at 11 a.m. at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills chapel in Sherwood.
