Ira Zadock Hackler Jr. "Big John", 72 of Conway passed away on July 13, 2016. John was born on Wednesday, March 29, 1944 in Conway, Arkansas to the parents of Ira Zadock Hackler Sr., and Lucy Edith Wise Hackler. John went to school at Liberty until the 7th grade and graduated from Vilonia High School. He had a CPA license and Accounting Degree, Business Degree and had his Real Estate license. John was the Terminal manager of Garrison Motor Freight, owned and operated Hackler Cartage/Razorback Express and worked as a rural United State Postal carrier. He was a member of the Vilonia Saddle and Wagon Club, was the commissioner and President of the Vilonia girls Softball program and attended the Conway Cowboy Church. He had a heart of gold; he made a lot of donations to different charities and organizations. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marnette L. Hackler; and two sisters, Barbara Fricke and Carolyn Ray. He is survived by his four daughters, Rachel Gillespie (Michael) of Quitman, Heather Crowder (Blake) of Mt. Vernon, Gretchen Hackler of Conway, Sarah R. Parker (Seth) of Conway; five grandchildren, Hope L. Crowder, Haleigh N. Crowder, Chase Michael Ira Gillespie, Sawyer W. Parker, Sadie R. Parker; one sister, Wanda Hamilton Long of Rogersville, Tenn., two brothers, James Oliver Hackler (Jewel) of Enola, Paul Hackler (Marsha) of Enola, a very special nephew, Warren Simmons; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 1 p.m., Sunday, July 17, 2016 at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Conway, Arkansas. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Saturday, July 16, at the Funeral Home in Conway. Interment will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park in Conway. The Pallbearers will be Scott Hamilton, Brad Hamilton, Stanly Dogett, Jayson Stell, Bill Lewis, and Warren Simmons.
