Lois Edith (Heigle) Ivey, of Lonoke, Ark., passed away Friday, July 15, 2016, at the age of 84. She was born Feb. 7, 1932 in Tumbling Shoals, Ark., to Annie and Tom Heigle. She was a charter member of First Baptist Church of Southbend in Jacksonville. This strong and kind woman had a hard and long battle with cancer. She loved the Lord, her family, gardening, and the beauty of nature. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Ivey; they were married 46 years; her daughter, Anita Ivey Reid; brothers, Johnny, Alvie, and Henry Heigle; her sisters, Madeline Scott, Melba Eastland, Cecila Bishop, and Frances Ivey. She is survived by her children, Rita (Joe "Buddy") Moody, Leona (Jerry) Sanders; three grandchildren, LaMont (Brigette) Moody, Jamey (Summer) Moody, and Stephanie (Chris) Cagle; six great-grandchildren, Lydia, Leslie, Mark, Emily and Hannah Moody, and Baby Charlotte Cagle (on the way); two brothers Orvel and James Heigle; and two sisters, Ann Jameson, and Mary Connor. The family would like to say a special thank you to Jackie Williams, her caregiver and friend, and the Baptist Home Health Hospice team. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 in the chapel of Roller-Owens Funeral Home 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd., North Little Rock, (501-791-7400) with burial to follow at Arkansas Memorial Gardens in Jacksonville. Visitation will be held on Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
