Sharon Ann Gipson Worring, 65, Mountain View passed away Friday, July 15, 2016. Sharon was born Dec. 20, 1950, in Houston, Texas, and moved to Arkansas at 14 months. She attended Stuttgart Public Schools and tried out for cheerleader in junior high school but was too long-legged and uncoordinated to make the grade so she joined the choir instead. She enjoyed drawing and drew the rest of her life. Sharon was passionate about dog rescue. Her love of animals sustained her throughout her life. She showed her own horses over the years and her love of horses fell over into her art. She also loved planting flowers and vegetable gardens, so being a farmer for over 25 years came naturally. Other hobbies included arrow-head hunting and yard sales to discover old glass and undiscovered "treasurers." Spontaneous trips and projects were the norm for Sharon – always trying to stay busy. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Shirley Gipson. Survivors are her sister, Shelia Ray Gipson; son, Johnny Ray Worring; grandchildren, Jade Kurstie Worring and John Cale Worring; close friends "always," Sonny Worring and Martha Hill; and adopted "sistas," Debbie Whitfield Hardin and Debbie Rieves. A rosary service will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday with a memorial service following at 2 p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Mt. View, Ark. A graveside service, officiated by Father Clayton Gould, will be 2 p.m. Friday at Lone Tree Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to Stone County Humane Society, Box 485, Mt. View, Ark. 72560.
