James Robert Riedmueller Sr., age 68, of Morrilton, passed away Sunday, July 17, 2016, at Saint Vincent's Infirmary in Little Rock. He was born September 7, 1947 in Morrilton; a son of the late George Riedmueller and Teresa Lienhart Riedmueller. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, a Fourth Degree Knight and member of Msgr. Charles F. Kordsmeier Council 5209 Knights of Columbus. He graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1965, UAMS in 1971, and served the community as a pharmacist for 45 years. He was a very devoted husband, father, and grandfather to 5 children, 13 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. He had a wide variety of hobbies over the years, and through these hobbies made many great friends. Survivors include his wife of 49 years: Claudia Sledge Riedmueller; mother-in-law Iva Lee Sledge, one son: James Riedmueller Jr. and wife Clarissa of Morrilton; three daughters: Rhonda Riedmueller Ray and husband Devin of Moore, Oklahoma, Miranda Riedmueller Penor and husband Steve of Hot Springs, and Erica Riedmueller of Russell Springs, Kentucky and one daughter-in-law: Jodi Perkins Riedmueller of Morrilton. He was preceded in death by his parents, father-in-law Claude Sledge, and his son, Christopher Lynn Riedmueller. Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Msgr. Jack Harris officiating. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. Rosary will be 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 19, at Harris Chapel with visitation following. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Sacred Heart School Endowment Fund.
