Twyla Kay Trussell Watkins

Twyla Kay Trussell Watkins, 84, departed this life to be with our Lord and Savior on Saturday, July 16, 2016. She was born June 15, 1932 in Pt DeLuce, Arkansas to Hassel and Gladys Trussell. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother who loved her family dearly and was a member of First Baptist Church, DeWitt. She worked as a bookkeeper for many years before retiring from PCC-UA. Sixty-three years ago she married the love of her life, Billy J. Watkins, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents, infant son, Myron, and a brother, Dale Trussell. She is survived by sons Mark (Cathy) and James (Dawn) both of DeWitt; four grandchildren: Luke Watkins (Gina), Jerrod Watkins (Leslie), Lauryn Tacker (Will) and Erin Watkins; three great-grandchildren: Dylan Watkins, Larsey Watkins, Reid Tacker and was awaiting the arrival of twin great-granddaughters Gentry and Maggie Watkins. She is also survived by one brother, Leland Trussell, an uncle, Estel Trussell (Catherine) and two sisters-in-law, Gayle Trussell and Gladys Hearn (Buddy). Memorial services will be Tuesday, July 19th at 10:30 a.m. with visitation preceding the service at 10 a.m. at Essex Funeral Home.
