Bobby Jack Waters

Bobby Jack Waters, born February 21, 1934 to the late Lloyd and Ruth (Sheppard) Waters, died July 20, 2016. A lifelong resident of Crossroads community (Prairie County), he was a farmer, and active in playing, coaching and umpiring baseball, and a mentor to many young people. He loved hunting and fishing and passed that passion to his family. A lifelong Methodist, Bob graduated from Des Arc High School in 1952. He proudly served in the U.S. Marines in the Korean War from 1953 to 1955. He was a life member of VFW #7769 of Beebe, Arkansas. He is survived by his wife of fifty-three years, Beverly (Jackson) Waters; four children; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and sister Joy (Waters) Sample. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday, July 23, 2016, at Hebron Methodist Church, with burial in Hebron Cemetery.
