Ronald Gene Short

Ronald Gene Short, passed away July 19, 2016 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Ronald was born September 5, 1932, to Harold A. and Jennie A. Short in Sault St. Marie, Michigan. He served in the military and was a very successful business person. Ronald received numerous honors for his 35 years of civilian service with the U.S. Army. Before a major stroke in 2002, Ronald was an active participant in the Elk's, Moose, Masons, OES, Shrine, American Legion, VFW, and Royal Order of Jesters. Ronald was preceded in death by his parents and twin brothers, Joseph and Harold Jr. He is survived by his wife, Sarah Camp Short, sister, Judith (George) Gilbert, brother, Jewel (Donna) Short, sister-in-law, Margie Short, five children, Ronald (Deborah) Warren, Katharine (Dr. Thomas) Flanders, Steven (Kay) Warren, Keith (Pamela) Warren, Mark (Lisa) Warren, 13 grandkids, 18 great-grandkids, and many nephews and nieces. Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, July 23, 2016 at the Bland Chapel United Methodist Church in, Rogers, Ark. All friends and family are invited to share this celebration. Memorial donations can also be made to Bland Chapel. Arrangements are with Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home, 3800 W. Walnut, Rogers.
