Glenn W. "Doc" Jones

Glenn W. "Doc" Jones, age 77, of Bigelow, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2016. He was born November 8, 1938 in Houston, Arkansas, a son of Doc Jones and Sybil Burge Jones Parker. He was retired from the Little Rock Fire Department after 34 years of service. He was an Army Veteran serving as a Ranger with the 82nd Airborne Division. He loved his family, the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and gardening. He is survived by his wife of 51 years Mary Lou Hight Jones of Bigelow; two sons, Brandon (Toni) Jones of Houston and Bennett (Robin) Jones of Perryville; brothers, Ronnie (Sharon) Jones of Houston and Edwin (Linda) Parker of Houston; sister, Edra (Mike) Taylor of Little Rock; four grandchildren, Stephanie (Josh) Markham of Conway, Brandi (Blake) Mansfield of Perryville, Jordan Jones of Conway, and Breanna Jones of Perryville; and one great-grandchild, Lucas Quaid Mansfield. Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Monday, July 25, at the Harris Chapel with Bro. John Chapman officiating. The family will receive friends 2-4 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.
