Cecile Geneva Gilson

Cecile G. Gilson, born Dec. 3, 1923 in Beverly, Kan., to Henry and Emogene Borgstadter, passed away July 19 in Fayetteville at the age of 92. Cecile volunteered at Washington Regional Medical Center 2-3 days each week from 1987-2013. The volunteers and staff she worked with became her family. She enjoyed going to the mall to walk and doing crossword puzzles. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walter Gilson; brother, Fred Borgstadter; Sisters, Doris Milham, Myrtle Beffort & Norma Hines. Cecile was survived by nephews Kent Beffort (Janice) and JD Beffort (Jan) and niece Connie Hines. Per Cecile's wishes there will be no services and the burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the WRMC Auxiliary. Cremation was under the direction of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home.
