Juanita Capps

JUANITA CAPPS, 86, of Little Rock, Ark., formerly of Hayti, Mo., went to be with the Lord on July 18, 2016. She was born on Jan. 1, 1930 in Kennett, Mo., to Earl and Ruby Davis. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandma and great-grandma. She enjoyed cooking and hosting dinners for family and friends. As a member of Hayti First Baptist Church for 50 years, her church family was very dear to her. She was a giving person and enjoyed helping people. She and her husband Bill owned and operated Quality Cleaners in Hayti for many years. Juanita lived in Little Rock the last eight years, but in her mind, she never left her "home" in Hayti. She is survived by a daughter, Sharon Midkiff and husband, Paul of Little Rock, Ark.; a son, Danny Capps and wife, Debbie of Forrest City, Ark.; a sister, Glenda Atkins and husband, Jerald of Jonesville, N.C.; four grandchildren, Johnny (Chrissy) Midkiff of Little Rock, Ark.; Jason (Lindsay)Capps of Springdale, Ark.; Bobby (Abby) Midkiff of Benton, Ark.; Sandy Capps of Springfield, Mo.; eight great-grandchildren, Katie and Kayla Midkiff of Little Rock; Jackson, Zoe Grace, and Sophie Anne Capps of Springdale, Ark.; Sam Midkiff of Van Buren, Ark.; Ethan and Noah Midkiff of Benton, Ark.; sisters-in-law Mavis Williams-Henson of Bragg City, Mo., and Wanda Capps of Caruthersville, Mo. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William "Bill" Capps; brother, J.D. Davis; sister and brother-in-law Evelyn and Billy Witham; sister-in-law Rachel Ethridge, and brother-in-law Dizer Capps. Visitation will be held from noon-2 p.m.on Monday, July 25, at Hayti First Baptist Church, with services following at 2 p.m. Services are provided by John W. German Funeral Home of Hayti, Mo., with burial at Memorial Gardens in Kennett, Mo. Memorials may be made to Hayti First Baptist Church, Lincoln and 2nd St., Hayti, Mo., or to Alzeimer's Arkansas, 201 Markham Center Dr., Little Rock, Ark. 72205.
