Marjorie V. Jetton, 92, of Cane Hill, went home to be with the Lord on July 23, 2016 at her residence. She was born Dec. 20, 1923 in Clovis, N.M., the daughter of Henry and Ada Mae Barker. Marjorie was a member of the Hale Mountain Holiness Church for over 70 years. She served as a Sunday School teacher and song leader for much of that time. She would pray, sing, and read her Bible every day. God was a huge part of her life, and when asked how she was, would reply, "God has been good to me!". She really loved her Lord and lived as a Christian for over 85 years. We should all pattern our lives after this wonderful, dear saint. She will be truly missed. Marjorie loved to go to church, quilt, crochet, play "Chicken Foot" dominoes, bake, watch hummingbirds, and entertain her grandchildren. She always wanted her house full of family. She loved to laugh and was lovingly called "Mrs. Clause" and the "Energizer Bunny" because of her sweet personality, beautiful dimples, silver gray hair, and endless energy. She would sit for an hour at the kitchen table waiting on the school bus to go by, was obsessed with the time and temperature, and would give you that information many times an hour! Marjorie worked at Boeing Aircraft in Wichita, Kan. where they nicknamed her "Rosie the Riveter" and "Dolly Dimples". J.W. always said she put the planes together and he fixed them later! She also worked at the canning factories and Abshier Chick Service for years, but her favorite job was "Happy Homemaker" and mother of five sweet stinkers. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 67 years, Jimmie "J.W." Jetton; one son, Jimmie Jetton, Jr.; three sisters: Helen, Jimmie Ruth, and Betty; two grandchildren, Michelle and Elliott. Marjorie is survived by four daughters: Karen (Leroy) Shannon of Morrow, Glenda (Jerry) Ricketts of Shepherdsville, Ky., Barbara Anderson and Judy (Leon) Provence, all of Cane Hill; 15 grandchildren: Nichole Carlson, Jimmy Jetton III, Tanya Drummond, Carla Cox, Candra Osnes, Steve Shannon, Jeff and Jerry Ricketts, Becky King, Melissa Deckard, Mike Anderson, Natasha Hiller, Rodney and Ronnie Provence, and DeShawna Clark; 34 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Donnie (Mary) Barker of Van Buren and Bobby Barker of Alma; one sister, Bonnie (Raymond) Cazis of California; one sister-in-law, Laverne Sargent of Prairie Grove; one daughter-in-law, Nancy Jetton of Morrow. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 5-7 p.m. at Luginbuel Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 26, 2016 10 a.m. at Mt. Pleasant Holiness Church in Morrow, Ark. Burial will be in Bethesda Cemetery; there will be no graveside services held at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lincoln Senior Center or the Hale Mountain Holiness Church Building Fund. Online guestbook: www.luginbuel.com.
