Sara Jorree Ridgway Tucker

Sara Joree Ridgway Tucker, age 87, of Lonsdale, Ark., passed away Friday, July 22, 2016 at home surrounded by her family. She was born May 11, 1929 in Pine Bluff, Ark. to the late Delos and Margaret Ridgway. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Benton and retired from AP&L, now Entergy, in 1985. She was also a member of both the Morning Glories and the Strummers. She enjoyed painting and knitting. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, David. L. Tucker. Survivors include her husband, David Leon Tucker, whom she married on March 29, 1952; her daughter, Leonette T. Bryant and husband, John of Hot Springs; one granddaughter, Sara Bryant; one sister, Donalda Jackson of Houston; other relatives and friends. A memorial service is scheduled for 3 p.m., Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at First Baptist Church of Benton in Selph Hall with Pastor Rick Grant officiating under the care of Roller-Ballard Funeral Home in Benton, (501-315-4047). Visitation will be from 2-3 p.m., one hour prior to the service beginning on Tuesday in Selph Hall. A private family interment will be held prior to the service.
