Doris Margaret Scroggins

Doris Margaret Scroggins age 87 of Benton went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Sunday, July 24, 2016 at Saline Memorial Hospital. She was born February 16, 1929 in Waldo, Arkansas to the late John Edward & Dora Hill Wright. She was a member of the Mt. Carmel Methodist Church, Plainview VFW Post 8525 Ladies' Auxiliary and the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Scroggins; daughter, Marilyn Hogue; brothers, Fred Wright; J.W. Wright, Raymond Wright; and sister, Patsy Woodruff. Survivors include her son & daughter-in-law, Raymond & Ronnie Scroggins of Little Rock; her daughter, Dorthea Andrews Scroggins of Benton; sisters & brothers-in-law, Martha & James Huff of Brandon, Miss.; Mary Alice & Mack Worrell of Jackson, Miss.; grandchildren, John & Caroline Hogue of Plainview; Michael Millwood & Murt Jones of Russellville; James & Allison Scroggins of Haskell; Allison Hogue & Mike Wickline of Benton; Matthew Millwood & Nancy Priest of Mt. George; Joey Andrews & Noni Campbell of Fayetteville; great-grandchildren, Chloe, Kristen, Payton, Kaegan, Jett, Megan, Jacob, Gala, Allison, Brittani, Alex, Dalton, Garrett, Harrison, Madelyn, Charlie and Sydney; great-great grandson, Gavin. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at the Plainview Methodist Church. Visitation will be 1 to 2 p.m. before the service at the church. Burial will be at Carter Cove Cemetery in Plainview. Pallbearers for the service include John Overfelt, Joe Dishongh, Ronnie Crawford, Kenneth Crawford, John Blankenship, Mike Wickline and Mike Sheppard.
