Mary Pauline Hardcastle went to be with our Lord and Savior, Sunday, July 24, 2016. Born on January 15, 1924 to Paul Francis McAdams and Orceila Byard McAdams in Judsonia, Arkansas. She was a graduate of Judsonia High School in 1942. She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church for 70 years teaching Sunday school for 40 plus years. She was a devoted leader of Bible Study Fellowship International. Mary began working at the war plant during WWII, a bomber girl making detonators. She worked at Redmond Motors, First Electric, owned and operated Hutchins Grocery, and retired from Rebsamen Memorial Hospital. Through it all she touched many lives with her most important task being to serve her Lord and Master Jesus Christ. Preceded in death by: Orville "Jack" Hutchins, first husband and father of her children; her parents, Paul Francis McAdams and Orceila Byard McAdams; siblings, Irma Cothran and Kenneth McAdams; children, Jackie Mac Hutchins, Marion Ray Hutchins and great-grandson, Brent Hutchins. Survived by: Husband of 44 years, J.C. Hardcastle of Jacksonville, Ark.; daughters, Roylane Ray (Cary) of Cabot, Ark. and Kim Henderson (Bill) of Jacksonville, Ark.; grandchildren: Michael Hutchins (Debbie), Mark Hutchins (Kelly), Carol Bowen (Tom), Skipper Ray (Deanna), Casey Henderson, (Ashley), and Callie Henderson; great-grandchildren: Brooke Spears (Jody), Rebekah Bowen, Ryan Bowen, Brandon Hutchins, Megan Hutchins, Nathan Hutchins and Scarlett Ray; great-great-grandchildren: Maeley Hutchins and Jackie Thomas Hutchins; siblings: Wilda Gibson or Searcy, Ark., Mary Spurlock (Jewel) of Judsonia, Ark., and known as "Aunt Pauline" to numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday at Smith – North Little Rock Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Wednesday at the funeral home, followed by interment at Bethel Cemetery where Mary served as Commissioner for 50 years.
