Danny W. Grinder, July 19, 1947 - July 23, 2016, graduate of Sylvan Hills High School 1965. Served in the US Army 1st Calvary Division 5/7 E Company Vietnam Recon where he earned a Purple Heart. A dedicated player for the Arkansas Rolling Razorback Basket Ball Team. He leaves behind wife, Nancy J Grinder, his daughter,Jeanie (Clint) Walker, two granddaughters, Katelyn and Emily Walker, his mother, Lucille Grinder, one sister, Georgia (Skip) Kersey, three brothers, Jim Grinder, Jerry (Helen) Grinder, Dale (Kathy) Grinder and a host of nieces and nephews. Danny loved deeply, laughed wholeheartedly and enjoyed life to the fullest extent. He had a quiet determination that helped him succeed in any endeavor he pursued. From jewelry making, carving wooden figurines to knife making, he could create wondrous treasures of art.Although mischievous at times, he had a little twinkle in his eyes and a innocent grin that would work magic on those around him. One of Danny's biggest gifts to us all , he taught us to love and laugh and to take the time to share that with others. Danny's Life Celebration will be held at Primrose United Methodist Church 3006 W. Dixon Road, LR, Ark., Friday July 29, 2016 at 6 p.m. The family requests in lieu of flowers please send donations in Danny's honor to AR Children's Hospital Foundation, P.O. Box 2222, Little Rock, Ark. 72203-9984.
