Cory D. Bennett

Cory D. Bennett, 45 of Alexander, passed away July 26, 2016. He was born May 24, 1971 in North Little Rock to Danny and Brenda Hughes Bennett. Cory was an avid hunter, his passion was Duck and Turkey Hunting. He especially loved his "Cadillac Hole" on the Cache River. Cory was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association and graduate of U.A.L.R. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dallas and Erma Hughes and Mary Bennett. Cory is survived by his wife, Marla Bennett of Alexander, daughters, Emily Bennett of Columbus,Ohio and Summer Bennett of San Antonio, Texas, step-children, Cody (Brittney) Harmon and Katy Harmon, both of Benton, parents, Danny and Brenda Bennett of West Little Rock, grandparents, Vaughn (Tommie) Bennett of Sherwood, step-grandchildren, Carsen and Breylei Harmon, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and hunting buddies. A Memorial visitation will be at Ashby Funeral Home, Sunday 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. His family would like to thank his caregivers at Baptist Medical Center, team of physicians for their excellent care and especially his ICU Primary Care Nurse, Amanda J. for all of her compassion and care In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Judes Children's Hospital.
