Harry Willard Burnett

Harry Willard Burnett, age 90 years young, passed away July 25, 2016 in Nashville, Tenn. Harry was born Nov. 23, 1925 in Knoxville, Tenn. He was preceded in death by wife, Ruth; parents, William Coy Sr. and Willie Ruth; sister, Rosemary; brother, Don; son-in-law, Ron Baird (of Nashville). He is survived by daughters, Cheryl Baird (Nashville) and Nancy Miller (Tulsa); brother, Coy Burnett Jr. and wife, Linda (Benton, Ark.); grandkids, Mike Miller (Tulsa), Michelle Crawford (Jonesboro, Ark.), Marc and John Dennis (Nashville); (and several great-grands as well); nieces, Donna Myers (Little Rock), Debi Bono (Bismarck, Ark.) and Pam Eagle (St. Louis). Harry's dad, Coy, was the Minister of Music at Baptist Tabernacle in Little Rock. Harry was in the Army during WWII, became a civil engineer, worked for oil companies, was a good man and had a great sense of humor. He was tall and handsome as a young man, a good husband and father and fought til the end to maintain his dignity and independence. We will miss you, Harry. A memorial service will be held at Bellevue Baptist Church on U.S. 70, Tuesday Aug. 2 at 4:30 p.m. All are welcome. Burial will be held at a later date at Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery near Little Rock, Ark., on Aug. 6 at 2:30 p.m.
