Rev. George Mutton, 85, of Jacksonville went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 29, 2016. He was born December 17, 1930 in Jacksonville, Arkansas to the late Benjamin and Ola Holt Mutton. He was a member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union 155, he retired from a career in commercial heat and air. He founded Life Tabernacle where he was a minister for over 50 years and remained as Pastor Emeritus and President of the Board of Trustees. They had a celebration in April to honor him, where he was awarded a Lifetime Legacy plaque and a Senate Citation from the State of Arkansas. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mary Mutton; daughter, J'Laine Bradley (Darrell); granddaughter, Holly Martin (Kevin); grandson, Dylan Bradley; great-grandson, Tyler Cash Martin; and stepbrother, Gayle Earnhart of California. George was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Benjamin "Bill" Mutton. Memorials may be made to Life Tabernacle, 23903 AR-107, Jacksonville, Arkansas 72076. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Friday, June 3 at Life Tabernacle. Burial will follow in Harmony Cemetery.
