Sara Dean Watson Galloway

Sara Dean Watson Galloway died May 21, 2016 in St. Louis, Missouri. Born August 26, 1920 in Leola, Arkansas, Sara Galloway resided in Little Rock, and moved to St Louis in 1997. She is preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Frank Clifford Galloway, who passed away in 1989; her parents: Eugene Thomas Watson and Susie Young Watson; and four siblings: Emmett Watson of Texarkana, Ark., Frazier Watson of Little Rock, Virginia Simpson of Little Rock, and Paul Watson of Bakersfield, Calif. Mrs. Galloway is survived by daughters, Deborah G Dillon (Todd) of St. Louis, and Barbara Johnson (Ed) of East Concord, N.Y.; and by three grandchildren: Kelly Dillon of Washington DC, Paul Dillon of St. Louis, and Keri Johnson of East Concord, NY; and many nieces, nephews and friends who loved and admired her. Mrs. Galloway was a member of Western Hills United Methodist Church, and attended Webster Groves Presbyterian Church during her 19 years in St. Louis. She loved her family, friends, gardening and St Louis Cardinals baseball. She will be remembered for her matter-of-fact approach to life, and her kind, generous way with all. She will be buried next to her husband at a graveside service at Pinecrest Cemetery in the greater Little Rock area at 11 a.m., 2 June 2016. Reverend Anne Holcomb, pastor of Western Hills UMC, will preside. In lieu of flowers, the family recommends memorial contributions to Western Hills United Methodist Church, 4601 Western Hills Avenue, Little Rock, Ark. 72204.
