Norman Caldwell

Norman Lynn Caldwell, age 70, of Benton, passed away Thursday, June 2, 2016. He was born October 22, 1945 in Malvern, Arkansas. Norman retired from Reynolds Metal as a Pilot Plant Manager with 35 years of service. After retirement, he worked at Ashby Funeral Home selling prearrangements and was the former owner of Benton Floral Design. Norman attended First Assembly's of God Church and served on the Harmony Grove School Board for 29+ years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Monroe Caldwell and Clemmie Viola Caldwell. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Katty Ann Caldwell of Benton; three daughters, Lisa Ramsey (Johnny) of Benton, Cindy Burke (Craig) of Benton and Mindy Stuart (Rod) of Benton; sister, Joyce Phipps of Benton; five grandchildren, Sarah Ackley (Ben), Hannah Ramsey, Britney Stuart, Tyler Stuart, and Adam Burke, and one great-grandchild, Emerson Lynn-Ann Ackley. Pallbearers will be the staff at Ashby Funeral Home. Honorary pallbearers will be Tyler Stuart, Adam Burke and Ben Ackley. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, June 5 at Ashby Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, June 6 at Ashby Funeral Home with burial at Fairplay Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Harmony Grove School, c/o Katty Caldwell, at 2621 N.
