Donna Marie Archer of North Little Rock, 58, passed away on June 5, 2016, and left behind many friends and family who loved her dearly. Her daughter, Rachel Elizabeth, 27, would like to invite everyone to a celebration of her life (visitation) on Friday, June 10 from 6 to 8 p.m. at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 11, 1 p.m., same location. Donna is preceded in death by her parents, Buddy Rex Archer and Norma Louise Archer (Baxter), and her grandparents, W.W. and Bessie Archer of Coy. She leaves behind a daughter, Rachel, a sister, Joyce Parker Allen of Las Vegas, and a brother, Walter Carroll Archer of North Little Rock. Many extended family members, including nieces Tammy Peterson, Scarlett Griffin, and nephews Joshua Archer, Caleb Archer, Cody Clendenin, McKeel Clendenin, and Easton Griffin will sorely miss her. Her close friend, Barbara Satterfield of North Little Rock, is among her many friends in sorrow. Donna was born December 22, 1957 in Little Rock. All of her schooling was in North Little Rock and she graduated Ole Main High School in 1976. She attended UALR and studied English. She worked for Union Pacific Railroad and was a long time manager of Dixie Cafe, Lakewood. Donna is remembered for her sharp wit, wry sense of humor, and generosity. Donna's intellect was surpassed only by her kindness. To know Donna was to know a friend who could make your belly hurt with laughter. Donna was an extremely hard worker who endeared many co-workers and employees to her who called Donna a lifelong friend and mentor. Quoting her favorite author, Hunter S. Thompson: "Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, 'Wow!
