Fay Dean Hubbard Dilbeck, of Maumelle, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 12, 2016, two days after celebrating her 83rd birthday. She was born June 10, 1933 to Lee and Minnie Story Hubbard in Casa (Perry County), Arkansas. She grew up happily in Altheimer, Arkansas with her 8 brothers and sisters. In high school, she captained the basketball team, graduated Valedictorian, and made friends with everyone – a trait she would carry for the rest of her life. She married in 1952 and had four daughters, Rose, Carol, Joy and Betty. With her girls, she celebrated graduations, weddings, and births, praising God in triumph and in loss. Settling in Batesville in 1972, Fay served as a court reporter for over 20 years in the 16th Judicial District, earning the respect of the legal and social community. She was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Batesville. In 1997, Fay moved to Lonoke to be closer to her family. She was an active member of the New Testament Missionary Baptist Church in Lonoke, where she loved fellowship and singing hymns. She was happiest when spending time with her five grandchildren, Sara, Crissy, Julie, Chandler, and Reed; and her two great-granddaughters, Bryley and Ashlyn. A woman of Christ, she was kind and generous in all things and fearful in none. Today, she is in Heaven with her parents, six of her brothers and sisters, and her daughter, Joy. We will celebrate the life of a very good woman at 10 a.m., Thursday, June 16, 2016, at Flat Bayou Cemetery in Altheimer, Arkansas by Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors. Donations may be made to Gentiva Hospice, 770 Factory Street, Suite 1, Conway, Arkansas 72034.
