James K. Lucas

James K. Lucas, 80, of North Little Rock, went to be with the Lord on June 12, 2016. He graduated from Little Rock Catholic High School in 1954, served in the Navy on the USS Essex, and went on to graduate from Little Rock University (now UALR). He was a life-long member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. He was an avid golfer and Razorback fan. He was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Barbara, his parents, Andrew and Marie Lucas, and two sisters, Rose Marie and Mary Ann. He is survived by two sons, Greg (Karen) Lucas of Little Rock and Tim (Tracy) Lucas of Sherwood; three grandsons, Korte, Kade and Drew of Little Rock; brother, Andy (Shirley) Lucas of Fayetteville; and sister, Rita (David) Gibbs of Hot Springs. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 14, at 6 p.m. with a Rosary at 7 p.m. at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills in North Little Rock. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, June 15, at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Fr. John Wakube as Celebrant. Interment will follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park.
